SAN ANGELO – Five Angelo State University commencement ceremonies were held over a two-day weekend as Ginger Kerrick Davis, the keynote speaker in her brief remarks, addressed the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. graduates on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
“ASU has helped shape you and your future. Now you can help shape ASU as there is no better testament to a university than the success of its graduates. We welcome you as contributors to ASU’s legacy.”
Davis congratulated the 2021 class of ASU on behalf of the Board of Regents of Texas Tech University System.
President Ronnie Hawkins, Jr. reminded the graduates of Angelo State’s five core values that they helped craft and codify.” Integrity, diversity and inclusion, significance, community, and commitment that should cause them to drive everything they do.
The ceremonies featured 1,100 ASU graduates, of which 900 officially walked the stage and received their degrees either on Friday, May 14 or Saturday, May 15. The five commencement ceremonies were held in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena on the campus of ASU.
Shyanne Nicole Clevenger made Angelo State University Dean’s List for the 2019 spring semester. Clevenger was in the Norris-Vincent College of Business 10 a.m. commencement ceremony held on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
ASU gradúa 1,100 en cinco ceremonias
SAN ÁNGELO - Cinco ceremonias de graduación de Angelo State University se llevaron a cabo durante un fin de semana cuando Ginger Kerrick Davis, la oradora principal en sus breves comentarios, se dirigió a las 10 a.m., a la 1 p.m. y a las 4 p.m. a los graduados el sábado 15 de mayo de 2021.
“ASU te ha ayudado a formarte a ti y a tu futuro. Ahora tú puedes ayudar a dar forma a ASU, ya que no hay mejor testimonio de una universidad que el éxito de sus graduados. Les damos la bienvenida como contribuyentes al legado de ASU".
Davis felicitó a la clase 2021 de ASU a nombre de la Junta de Regentes del Sistema Universitario Tecnológico de Texas.
El Presidente, Ronnie Hawkins, Jr. recordó a los graduados los cinco valores fundamentales de Angelo State que ayudaron a elaborar y codificar "Integridad, diversidad e inclusión, trascendencia, comunidad y compromiso” los cuales deberían servir para guiar todas sus acciones.
Las ceremonias contaron con 1,100 graduados de ASU, de los cuales 900 caminaron oficialmente por el escenario y recibieron sus títulos el viernes 14 de mayo o el sábado 15 de mayo. Las cinco ceremonias de graduación se llevaron a cabo en el Junell Center / Stephens Arena en el campus de ASU.
